Commercial/ AG Producer

Summary

Responsible in the sale of insurance to qualified business clients and prospects to ensure continued profitable agency growth according to specific goals. Familiarity with the dairy/ag industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provides professional, courteous service to our clients, carrier representatives, underwriters, business partners, and Burns Insurance colleagues.
  • Maintain complete and accurate files and input necessary data on the company’s agency management system.
  • Actively contact prospects, schedule appointments, make sales presentations, and close on new business accounts, balancing production to achieve desired mix of business.
  • Develops new business from existing accounts and contributes to meeting departmental production goals. Identifies and follows-up on cross-selling opportunities when appropriate.
  • Execute daily job responsibilities, including responding to voice mail, email, and client inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Complete applications for Account Managers to submit to appropriate markets.
  • Maintain service standards as outlined in the procedure manual.
  • Maintain confidentiality requirements regarding insurance coverage.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Hold Wisconsin insurance license or obtain within first 90 days of employment.
